Rod Blanks
These KastKing Crixus Fishing Rods are made from IM6 Graphite Blanks – which will provide a great mixture of power and sensitivity. There are some higher end graphite blanks used in some of the other KastKing fishing rod options, but for the price it is hard to find a rod that is this good.
This rod line has options that will vary from 5′ to 7’6″ in length and will vary in power from light to heavy.
Overall these rods are made from a very solid graphite blank foundation that makes these rods great for fishing most species of freshwater fish!
Guides
Rod guides are important for line control, casting accuracy, and casting distance. The good news is these fishing rods are made with Stainless Steel Guides that have Zirconium Oxide Rings. Basically, these are durable and traditional guides that should be very effective for you.
These guides can handle monofilament, fluorocarbon, or braided fishing line.

Handle & Other Features

This type of handle is very comfortable and durable – and they are slip resistant. Being able to grip these handles in poor weather conditions is a big plus.
These grips also look really good. And personally, I like fishing rods that have some flair and style to them – which these certainly do.
The reel seats are graphite and I would say adequate for most anglers. They are the best around, but I’ve also dealt with reel seats that were much worse! Again, for the price it is hard to beat them.
Price & Other Thoughts
What is the biggest selling point for these fishing rods? I would have to say the features, durability, and look you get for the price you pay. The most expensive KastKing Crixus Fishing Rods are going to be about $50 – with the least expensive options being around $40. Again, you can’t beat that price for what you get.
If you are someone who only fishes with 1-piece fishing rods, then you are probably going to want to find a different fishing rod line. One of the downsides to this rod line is all of these fishing rods are 2-Piece fishing rods.
Benefits of the 2-Piece rods are that they are easy to transport and store. And KastKing claims that their technology makes these fishing rods feel just as good as a 1-Piece fishing rod.
These fishing rods are also very lightweight – and are great for bass, walleye, and just about any other type of fishing you might be interested in.

I don’t think there is to much more to say about these fishing rods. They are a great mixture of durability and functionality at a price that really can’t be beat. If you are someone that doesn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on the more expensive and elite fishing rods that are out there – this is a fantastic option for you. These are also great fishing rods to let your children use. Give them something that lightweight and awesome to use, that won’t make you to sad if it accidentally gets broken!
